Wait, what? What happened to Summer?

This summer arrived suddenly. Bluntly. In those first few weeks I wasn't present. The last two months have been spent searching for answers and chasing moments of peace, glimmers of joy. It was a whirlwind. And now, as I slowly begin to find my center, I notice sunsets arriving too soon, light shifting slightly in the sky, the first leaves falling softly on the bike path - all signs that summer is alas coming quickly to a close. Lucky for me I do love autumn, with its cooler, dryer days, dappled sunlight filtered through thinning treetops, crisp fresh air, and plenty of work to busy my mind.

Below is a video of my performance at World Wide Music Day, courtesy of Live From Center Stage

A few highlights from my other gigs this summer - singing at Harvard Square, co-hosting World Music Day, leading songwriter circles, acoustic sets at the Mashpee Commons Farmer's Market, Original Music Showcases, the outside zen garden at Karoo, Harvest Gallery Wine Bar, listening to Slaid at Truro Vineyards, solo in the boat at Oliver's, and of course, O'Shea's Olde Inne . . .  heartfelt thanks to my musical cohorts and to each and every one of you who tirelessly support live music.

Looking back on the loss of my friend Dave Myers, I am reminded of my favorite collaboration with him - here we are performing Pale Blue Eyes in memory of Lou Reed at the Harvest Gallery Wine Bar Open mic back in the fall of 2013. The photo is blurry, which I find apropos. Dave's was a soul in constant motion.

I remain mellifluously yours, with love & music - xo
