Lyrics

Lazy summer morning, comes without a warning, I am a child once again
Salt water in my hair, petrol fumes hang in the air, musty orange canvas ‘gainst my chin
Time passes slowly by, no clouds are in the sky, reaching for buoys we glide past
Seagulls are singing, ship bells are ringing, no need to travel very fast

Leave no wake, make no waves, ebb and flow, just let it go

The water’s surface is like glass, undisturbed til his first cast at the rock pile today
We drop the anchor down, try not to make a sound, don’t want to scare those fish away
We’ll go swimming later on, when the fishing is all done, we’ll jump in a float around
No where we need to be, adrift out on the sea, good times and memories abound

Leave no wake, make no waves, ebb and flow, just let it go

Leave no wake, make no waves, ebb and flow, just let it go

When the sun begins to set, pull the boat in at the spit, light a fire, cook the fish
Glowing embers light the night, we take sticks and we sky write, close your eyes and make a wish
We drift to sleep on the way home, eyes heavy with sea foam, tide is rocking me to bed
And now years later when I dream, I can call to mind this scene, river flows inside my head
The tide is rocking me to bed
