Growing up on the Cape, what I love most about Kath's songs is the sweet memories they bring back of the easy, carefree days there. Her original songs capture the beach, the smells, the sounds and the feelings of New England. "Old Man Winter" reminds me of the sad days when you think the cold weather has passed, only to wake up to the return of the cold, stark days of winter. While I certainly don't miss that aspect of New England, it is still amazing how that song can bring me back. I love playing her songs for my kids who are growing up in San Diego so they can understand and appreciate my love for New England. I am also very fond of Kath's music about Sam Bellamy. She fully captures the rich history of Cape Cod.
